# Viewing a Creator’s Instagram Statistics

> How to view a creator's Instagram platform performance statistics via the CreatorDB Chrome Extension.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The steps on this page assume Creator Analytics is open on a creator's page and you're logged in. For details, see [Opening and logging in](/creatordb_app/extension/logging_in.md).

Click **Instagram** in Creator Analytics to see a creator's Instagram statistics. Like YouTube, they're in four tabs: **Overview**, **Audience**, **Content**, and **Brand**. This page covers what's different on Instagram; for the shared layout, see [Viewing a creator's YouTube statistics](/creatordb_app/extension/youtube_stats.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> Numbers are shortened to thousands (1K = 1,000) and millions (1M = 1,000,000). On the Free plan, **Views range**, **Audience**, and **Brand** are limited to 5 creator profiles per day. For plans, see [Pricing](https://app.creatordb.app/pricing-plan).

## Instagram overview

![Instagram Overview tab with Reels selected and numbered callouts](https://mintcdn.com/creatordb-589c46f5/YEf4CmWIaS9OEtqm/creatordb_app/images/extension/instagram_stats/overview.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=YEf4CmWIaS9OEtqm\&q=85\&s=384c0c98aaa55265dfa8cccb18ee7ac9)

| No. | Label | Description |
| - | - | - |
| 1 | **Posts** / **Reels** / **All** | Shows key statistics for the creator's recent posts, recent reels, or both. |
| 2 | **Recent posts** / **Recent reels** | The number of recent posts or reels the statistics are based on. With **All**, you see **Total posts** on the account and **Recent posts & reels** instead. |
| 3 | **Engagement rate** | (Likes + comments) ÷ followers. |
| 4 | **Avg. plays** | Average plays per reel (reels only). Every view also shows **Avg. likes** and **Avg. comments**. |
| 5 | **Views range** | The minimum, median, and maximum plays of reels posted in the last **30 Days** or **90 Days**. Shown for **Reels** only. |

## Instagram audience

The **Audience** tab has the same **Demographic overview**, **Country breakdown**, and **Age & Gender** sections as YouTube. For what each shows, see [YouTube audience](/creatordb_app/extension/youtube_stats.md#youtube-audience).

![Instagram Audience tab](https://mintcdn.com/creatordb-589c46f5/YEf4CmWIaS9OEtqm/creatordb_app/images/extension/instagram_stats/audience.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=YEf4CmWIaS9OEtqm\&q=85\&s=130147c0525777d001c4b560943db52f)

## Instagram content

**Recent content** shows the creator's recent Instagram **Posts** or **Reels** as embedded posts, followed by **Recent hashtags, topics & niches** and posting frequency, as on [YouTube content](/creatordb_app/extension/youtube_stats.md#youtube-content).

## Instagram brand

The **Brand** tab works like [YouTube brand](/creatordb_app/extension/youtube_stats.md#youtube-brand): sponsored content performance, **Industries**, **Recent sponsors**, and a **Sponsored content** list you can sort. On Instagram, sponsored reels show the audio source in place of the creator's follower count.

## Instagram post metrics overlay

When you open a creator’s profile on Instagram, Creator Analytics by CreatorDB shows a metrics bar on each post and reel in the profile grid. You don’t need to open the extension to see it.

![CreatorDB metrics bars on an Instagram profile grid](https://mintcdn.com/creatordb-589c46f5/YEf4CmWIaS9OEtqm/creatordb_app/images/extension/instagram_stats/metrics_overlay.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=YEf4CmWIaS9OEtqm\&q=85\&s=612262cd083f0f36430e832a2acb0721)

Each metrics bar shows the following:

| Metric | Description |
| - | - |
| **Plays** | The number of plays the reel received. Shown for reels only. |
| **Engagement rate** | The engagement rate of the post or reel. |
| **Likes** | The number of likes the post or reel received. |
| **Comments** | The number of comments the post or reel received. |

> [!TIP]
>
> Hover over a metric to see its name.

By default, the metrics bars are shown. To hide or show them:

1. Go to a creator’s profile on Instagram.
2. Hover over the CreatorDB icon. \

A **Hide metrics** or **Show metrics** button appears next to the icon.
3. Click **Hide metrics** to hide the metrics bars, or **Show metrics** to show them again.
